Dave Slamp comes from a wide and varied background of ministry. He served 21 years as a lead pastor, 14 years as an associate pastor, 4 years as a missionary in Africa, and 6 years as a university professor. His doctorate from Fuller Theological Seminary in spiritual formation and Church Growth. He has been District Sunday School Chairman. Speaker for Sunday school conventions in Kansas (KLASS), New York (NYSSA), Washington (NWMC), and California (BASS), as well as Nazarene SDMI Conventions in Kentucky, Texas, Michigan, Oklahoma, Georgia, California, and Tennessee. Recent pastorates include 9 years as Executive Pastor at the 2,200 member Central Community Church and First Church of the Nazarene, Medford, Ore. For the past 5 years, he and Kathy have served on the Nazarene Missions Corps for the Church of the Nazarene in 16 countries throughout Africa training over 5,200 Discipleship Small Group Leaders. The missions work included preaching extensively throughout Africa. Dave is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene, is married to Kathy (Thomas) Slamp; they have two grown children, Scott and Dana, and two grandsons.
